Did anyone else notice that Richard was building a ship in a bottle in his tent when the woman came over to him to tell him Locke was there? The ship he was building seemed to resemble the Black Rock quite a bit.

Forshadowing??????????????????????

Black Rock was the first thing that came to mind. I thought for sure we were gunna see something with the black rock. Mayb Richard came from the black rock, but then again, i dont think that would make him old enough

I saw that too and of course like everyone else we all thought of the Black Rock(BR). I am now quite convinced that the BR ended up in the middle of the Island for the same reason that the plane ends up flying over the island after its not even seen on the radar is because the Island is constantly moving through space and time and the BR was in the path at the same exact time as the Island moved in its path similar to 815 and 316.

Mrs. Hawking told us that there are several pockets of energy like the island has all over the world and they are connected.

I think the Black Rock was sailing just fine in the ocean when all of a sudden the Island pops back up and it is smack in the middle of the Island.

I had figured through most of this show that Richard was connected to the Black Rock...he just looks like he would be. And I felt more confident when I saw him making the ship in the bottle tonight. However, after seeing his reactions to John's comments afterwards...I just don't know. If he had been around since the Black Rock, he would "know" more, wouldn't he?

Not if Jacob doesn't want him to know...after all, Richard is just an advisor.

Then I would say the island doesn't want him knowing or remembering much lol. But...hmmm, why did the island choose him to be an advisor in the first place?

Maybe like Radzinski getting stuck in the Swan for years....perhaps Richard did something a looooong time ago to piss off the island, and being an advisor is his penance?

I think.. that when the remaining losties were flashing through time after Ben turned the wheel.. when they were on that boat, being shot at, right after, when they flashed again and arrived in a time when it was during a rain storm.. that's when the Black Rock showed up. tonight's episode was amazing. BOOYAH. LET'S GO JOHN, KILL JACOB GOOD!

I totally agree! Seems like the most logical explination.....But then again this show is anything but logical!
