Michael Emerson said in a recent interview that the finale contains not one, but two shockers! The finales always have. Season one left us screaming WWWwwwwaaaaaaalllllllttttt!!!!!!! As well as peering down an ominous hatch. Season two left Kate, Jack, Sawyer and Hurley on their knees with bags over their heads while the island flashes and two men in the antarctic or Arctic see their computer signal something and phone Penny that they found it. Season three leaves us conflicted about being rescued from the island, Charlie's death, and Jack telling Kate they have to go back. While season four finds Desmond reunited with Penny and the rest of the losties while the island flashes out of existance and the lie begins.

My big question is this...if the bomb is detonated what do you think the other shocker will be? Is it the death of another beloved character or is there more to it?

Maybe the detonation is what actually causes the split in the spacetime continuum and the alternate universes?

There will be on that takes place in 1977, and another in 2007, but I'm not sure about what. I doubt that they'll be able to change the past, because it's far too late in the show to change all the rules that have been set in stone. As for 2007, it'll either be about Jacob or the group of Others at the temple.

Then again, the past two finale's final scenes were in the flashfowards, revealing that it was a flashfoward, and that Locke was the one in the casket. Maybe we'll find out something new in one of the flashbacks in this next episode.

1 - The bomb is detonated in 1977 and we are left wondering who, if anyone, lives.

2 - Locke finds Jacob in 2007. Locke carries out his promise to kill Jacob, or Ben and Richard gang up on Locke, or something else like that, but it will definitely involve Jacob.

For the first time ever, I think we will get to really see Jacob. And I'm thinking we are going to see him in the beginning of the episode. In typical Lost fashion, I think the finale will open with either an indistinguishable figure doing something - like season 2's opener inside the hatch - or with a LaFleur type opening where the character is revealed at the end of the sequence. Jacob will be revealed and it will kick things off in a big way.
