now im not sure if people addressed this already but i was just watching the episode "the little prince" which i thought was the worst episode of the season but was watching it again cuz the finale is coming up, and when ben was talking to his lawyer he mentioned some stuff about hurley and that there is a hearing in the morning and he'll be a free man, so maybe the lawyer busted him out(legally) and had orders from ben to tell hurley where to go(the airport and on ajira 316)
so that was simpler than we once thought of where he was
so had anyone else thought of it? or adressed it?

I always figured that Ben's lawyer gets Hurley out of jail...however, Ben seems genuinely surprised to see Hurley on the plane. Then again...why wouldn't Ben want Hurley on Ajira, since he's been told that they need to recreate 815 as close as possible? Maybe when Ben asked Hurley what he was doing there, he was being facetious.

i think thats the case. felicitous. because ben came to hurley to convince him to go back (pizza pocket at wall scene). and thats when hurley got himself arrested. and ben had his lawyer get him out and then when hurley freaked out on 316, i think ben was trying to tell him "don't be a little sh**, i am the one who got you here to start with."

The more interesting question might be this, why Hurley came back to the island and what is his purpose? Because out of Kate,Sayid and Hurley, Damon & Carlton for some reason waited until the season finale to show us his reason for returning to the island. It's something good i bet.
