There were 8 but only 6 survived the crash "story" is apparently what the Oceanic 6 are being made to tell by someone. We know there were more than 8 survivors, we don't know why they are being made to tell this story to the public. It's got something to do to go along with the cover up plane crash in the ocean that was staged on tv.

I know that there are really more than 8 survivors but the cover up story says 8 and 2 died. They(the public) has to know about the two that died or they9 Kate, Jack) would just say 6 right?

yeah lol sorry I wasnt thinking, unfortunately we dont know who the 2 are yet that they are referring to. I think thier story is 2 died from the crash afterwards on the island and not from the rescue, who knows how many is going to die during rescue.

okay they are admitting 8 but i am not sure we can even say that claire is one of them as kate may be claiming she gave birth to aaron?

They would have to know if Kate was pregnant when she got on the plane. She would have been huge and the FBI agent would have notified somebody that she was pregnant.

Maybe it is Sun and Jin and they went back to Korea to raise their baby and the Oceanic 6 came back to America. Just a thought...
