Aaron being raised by Kate

anyone else wondering more and more about what that physic guy said? He warned Claire that her baby must not be raised by another, he was so insanely passionate about it, its like the world would end if she didn't raise the baby. Now we see that Kate is raising him, do you think this is going to be significant, or the guy jut didn't want the others to get Aaron, and he didn't see anything in the future with Kate raising him.

I think the psychic's predictions are going to definetly play into Aaron's story. He said no one else must raise him. He made it out to sound like he would turn evil it she didn't.

i think and have been saying that i think that Claire will die in s4....i think that maybe Kate ends up taking him off the island....maybe jack doesn't want to see Aaron because he feels guilty for Claire's death and feels somehow responsible...i dunno...just a guess..the pyschic was a supposed fraud but he really saw into the future with claire and it scared the S##T outta him

Yeah I think he really saw into Claire's future, but I'm torn as to what he saw. Especially if he was a fraud with everyone except Claire, he may have interpreted what he saw wrong. Maybe he saw the baby with someone other than her, and the evilness he saw was Claire's death. I guess I just don't want to see Aaron be some evil freak baby. lol

If Kate was really pregnant by Sawyer on the island, could Aaron be Sawyers son and could that be why Jack doesn't want to see him? Perhaps the other Aaron is still on the island with Claire. It wouldn't be tooo much of a stretch to have Kate raising her own son whom she named after the baby she was most exposed to on the island?If Claire and Aaron died. then Kate has survived and her son is a namesake in honor of one who didn't survive.

I've always maintained that we were led to believe he said not to let Aaron be "raised by another" and what he actually meant was "raised by an other"

The others hadn't come into much play during the first season when that flash back took place, so we would all naturally think "another"

My thinking is that something really bad happens to Claire. Jack tries to work his magic and fix her, but for the first time, he fails and she dies.

This would no doubt incredibly impact Jack, who has always been seen as the hero and has been able to cure anyone - as seen with his surgery for his ex-wife and Ben. No doubt that Aaron would be a terrible reminder of how Jack failed.

I don't think he wanted to call him to the stand. He wanted him in the court room for sympathy.

I dont think that the Phycic was worried about the others raising aaron, because if you remember, the phycic said that Claire had to raise the baby herself, then all of a sudden, the phycic said that he changed his mind, and found a family for the baby, but that she HAD to take the flight that he had arranged for her (flight 815) to meet the people... it HAD to be that flight.

The Phycic knew that Claire would crash, and problably die. He was not preventing the baby from being raised by the others, he was trying to eliminate the baby and/or Claire.

My guess is that your initial guess was correct, aaron may grow up to be someone very bad.

I think she just didn't want him exposed to all the media. Think thats why she made that comment about keeping him away from the t.v. All the media attention..seeing mommy on t.v. in handcuffs or whatever.

I see what your saying, I just have a feeling there is more to it. The lawyer seemed to feel like it was her only option to stay out of jail time, so what would be worse, Aaron not having a mom and going into a foster care, or being in front of the media. I guess i could just be looking into it too much.

What is interesting is that Kate's mom, wanted to see "her grandson" like she beloved it was Kate's natural baby and not one she necessarily os raising (like Claire's). So there must be some lie about this being Kate's baby.

Yeah I think Kate's mom believes that baby is hers. Kate's protecting that baby from someone or something. It looks like the best way to do it is pretend he is hers.

Well here goes... can Claire be in the coffin? Yeah, yeah yeah I know what the newspaper clipping said... but maybe it can explain if Kate is rasing Aaron (Claire's kid) then it would explain why she said Why would I go... if she obtained Aaron by nefarious ways then she wouldnt want to go.

And at the end of the last episode Ben told Sayid something about if he wants to keep his friends alive then he needs to keep working for Ben. So I think Jack doesn't want to see Aaron because it will remind him that they left a lot of their friends on the island while they are back in civilization.

... sure, it could be... but I think we are starting to see that Ben is an important person on and off of the island. i doubt his funeral would be held at a run down funeral home in LA.

Didn't Charlie still die? So his vision didn't change at all. IMO, if he would have succeeded in his attempt to save Charlie then his invision would have changed. I just think that a lot of them are still alive but maybe being held captive by Ben somewhere.

I don't believe Claire is alive. I cannot see Claire letting Aaron go w/out her. I truly believe that Claire doesn't survive & maybe she asks Kate to care for him (maybe she was there when Claire took her last breath). Maybe Claire does get on the helicopter, along with the other Oceanic 6 & for some reason dies before she makes it home. Jack probably feels responsible (he does have that GOD complex) & that's why it's hard seeing the baby. I don't think new guests on the island are the ones who save them/bring them home either.
