Where did the helicopter go? Maybe they took a different route because Dan knows the people on the freighter are not nice and he didn't want them to die. Maybe he takes them somewhere else?

I think the time diffrence is makin it take a while. In the previews it shows them goin str8 into a bad storm. I think its becuase he has to follow the same way he came in. And the storm just happens to be there. Remember they came in on a realy bad thunderstorm.

There was another thread talking about the 31 minute flight of the payload. One of the thoughts was that maybe one or two minutes of island time is 31 minutes of earth time. To make it simple, if we say one minute equals 30, than a 1 hour trip to the boat might take 30 hours. Meanwhile, to those in the copter it feels like real time.

Just thinkin' out loud.
