did john really need to die. the only reason he thouhgt he needed to die was because john told richard to tell himself that in the last episode "follow the leader". when locke tells widmore he needs to die, widmore says basically that it wasnt true. so i want to see what everyones opinion was

for that reason exactly i say that either widmore is evil or after "whoever" killed Matthew Abadon that was the only way to get thier attention and get them to come back and ben did the rest lol along with illana cuffin sayid,ben's lawyer freeing hurley, and arron getting lost so i guess it was a team effort

Anyways I think the concensus for most people was that they didn't think so. I'm not sure either way
