i was just thinking, where is people like Bea Klughe or the blonde dude that loves beating up Sawyer in the 70's? or do the others have to do some recruiting every few years?

duh i didnt even think of ole friendly!! where is Tom! Bea and Tom seemed to be pretty high ranking others.you would think they would have been around for a long time.

It's pretty strange. It seems all of the Others who were particularly loyal to Ben were killed off in season 3. Maybe it means Ben was never really meant to be leader. Perhaps Richard isn't so good and deliberatly meant to find Ben that one time in the jungle. He didn't seem too fond of Charles, who seemed to listen to the island rather than to Jacob, and now he doesn't like Locke because Locke says he wants to kill Jacob.
