That man that was on the beach is now John Locke!!!

He said, i wish i could kill you and that he would one day (meaning he is not able to)

Then when Locke meets Jacob, Jacob says, "i see you have found a loop hole", meaning he finally found a way to kill him.

Dammit Ben why did u kill the most interesting character of Lost

Yes, but how did it happen? Has the the "new Locke" been smokie and Locke never actually came back to life?

I think that's how it looks. Richard said that Locke seemed different.

The two sides are starting to emerge now, it seems.

Also that is why Alex (smokie) told Ben to follow Locke because Locke was actually smokie aka Jacobs buddy.

That is thought provoking....after two hours I forgot about that scene....with the full statue in the background....hmmm....Locke and Jacob.....interesting...

remember, locke and the monster couldn't appear at the same time, and when ben released it, locke appeared.

jacob's enemy is the beast of judgment, but it needed to find a "loophole" in order to kill him???

see my thread...Jacob def has some loophole, if not Christian. There's no way he'd step right up to Ben unless he wanted to be killed, which is what I believe. He purposefully provoked Ben to kill him so he could pursue his loophole.

i think jacobs buddy and smokie are two different entities . imo

Don't worry guys nad gals, we haven't seen the last of Jacob. We'll see him in flashbacks next season i bet. By the way, did any one notice that out of all the flashback's on the losties tonight, the only one Jacob didn't appear in was Juliet's? Thought i point that out if no one already did.
