Reminds me of...chess

We were shown Hurley playing chess, people talking about good/evil and light/dark sides.

Jacob and Anti-Jacob are merely playing a 'chess game' with everyone. They the unwitting pawns, brought to the island for their amusement.

Remember in the opening sequence when they bring the Black Rock to the Island and Jacob mentions how it always ends the same way??

They have been doing this for a LOOOONG time it seems.

that is exactly what we were saying right at the end..our losties are nothing but pawns..they cannot kill each other..that is why ben killed him...it just a game of chess

so your saying jacob gets to the island, stuff happens, the black rock comes, stuff happens, 815 crashes, they go back in time, then they fix time, then jacob get s to the island, stuff happens, the black rock comes, etc.....

I don't think there's a time loop...I think these guys were bored of the same old thing happening everytime they 'bring' some people to the Island to 'play with' - they must have devised a master plan to have the Losties/Others meet up and fight, etc.

I think Anti-Jacob came up with the bad stuff and Jacob had to counter-act against it when he could.

Like 2 kids playing soldiers only with real people.
