Jack + Nuke=Purge??

Did Jack just carry out the purge which has happened and was meant to happen? Despite the new method, does Jack become the architect of the purge of the DI and not Ben? Which raises the question, what happens to the Losties now?

I think the purge was the gasing thing where Ben killed his dad in the van and they put all the bodies in the pit. We know that has, or will happen. I think he was the creator of the incident though.

A purge is a purge! No matter the method they died. The fact is they died! As long as they're dead, the way in which they died is irrelevant. And if the Losties can really change things, which is becoming more inevitable for the show, then Jack becomes the genocidal leader and not Ben.

I don't think that Jack did anything becuz the bomb didn't go off until Jules hit it. When he dropped it nothing happened.. The drill had already hit the pocket and the force was coming it just took some time. I think that is another reason they show Juliet hitting the bomb to pinpoint that the bomb didn't cause the incident. Wasn't the bomb's purpose to stop it.. but it never went off.. IMO anyway...

And I thought the purge didn't happen til 92 unless that yr was wrong as well but as far as I kno... the purge hasn't happened yet.

No, a purge is a purge and an incident is an incident. In this show they are two completly different events that happen 15 years appart.
