Chang loses his arm

Since they bothered to show how Chang lost his arm, do you think this means that Juliet was able to change things in some way??

Maybe not the way they expected however - maybe he still makes the videos with the fake arm and mentions the incident. It seems like 'why bother' unless he is still going to make the videos so we notice the fake arm.

Well the questioni have is... Did he really lose his arm? We see his arm trapped and then from what i saw was that Miles (i believe) helped him get the arm out. There appeared to be some blood, but the arm looked in tact.
Is it a sign that they already started to change things??? Was miles knowing what happens able to prevent Chang from losing his arm???
