Now assuming the bomb went off when Juliet hit it, the island and everyone blow up, including Richard. That would mean that the island disappears from 2007, or Richard would disappear since he was in both times?
It can't be so-the losties must have gone back to 2007...does this make sense to anyone else? I guess im just confused LOL

I think it was more like a time jump flash then a explosion. I dont think they died.

ironicly i guessed the finale would end with a flash and i guess i was rite and for all we know that could've been a time flash and maybe with its size it only blew up the area and not the whole island rite now its just too confusing

It was a time flash... and the incident still occured because the radiation is what poisoned the air and made them write quarantine on the hatch, take the injections and wear hazmat suits. All of the same stuff that we have seen already. The losties flashed out of 1977 and will still be on the island. I think they will meet up with the Others, Sun, etc, in 2007 and be what Jacob was talking about when he said "They are coming".....they are the cavalry to help save the island from the evil, evil JL!!!!

Is that what really is the case or could they have written quarantine on it and made them take the injections to make them think that it was unsafe to go outside and force them to stay in the Swan to continue pressing the button. The injections could have been something as simple as just plain saline. kelvin didnt suit up and took the injection to make Desmond think he had to stay once Kelvin left. kelvin wasnt getting sick or presenting with any typical radiation poisoing hair loss, skin break down, nausea, vomiting etc. And if the injections were to prevent any of the radiation poisoning why bother using suits in the first place. I think it was just a form of control the DI used to keep them contained in the hatch and not venture off and risk leaving for good or gettnig hurt and not pressing the button

I am honored...I am also laughing my head off!!! I am certainly not the smartest person that ever lived! Sheesh!!!! Follow me if you will but I am not always right....it just seems that way!! lol!! Just kidding. I've just read a lot of sci-fi and this is a real good sci-fi show. The ending we just saw was so similar to The Stand, it's almost plagerized!! (sorrry about my spelling) In The Stand, everyone left alive in Vegas gets nuked by the green hand of god...the few survivors left all manage to go home and they wonder...has mankind learned his lesson yet? Well, I had to laugh...that was the first line spoken on the beach between Jacob and his evil friend! The line about mankind doing the same thing, conquering, destroying, etc. with some progress made. It is so true...think about the Roman Empire, the Egyptians, all the great civilizations in mankinds history have eventually disappeared. Why? Usually greed and violence to achieve their goals. It was a great finale!

No, it was real. It was from the radiation from the plutonium trigger. It has a fairly short half life. I wrote a whole thing about it in that thread I started about the Plutonium Trigger and whatever else I called it...it's all explained.
