If we go back to the season 3 and 4 argument of God vs. science. Both God heads in this series are some cruel guys. Maybe the writers by the end want to make a commentary on how God is a lie because it is just an idea trying to control us and that we as people are our own redemption as we find our own enlightenment? Perhaps people seeing Ben as Judas is correct, but don't forget that it doesn't mean they are following a bible story. The book of Judas was found around the turn of the millennium I believe and featured in Time magazine and such. It is regarded as a book that would belong to the gnostic line of Christianity more so that traditional forms and professes that Judas was the high disciple and told by Jesus to turn him over so he could die and be resurrected. We shall see how this plays out because the ending of the eye opening seemed like Jack... perhaps the humans will win after all!!!!
