Did Ilana call him Ricardo when she first saw Richard?

Ricardus - Richard in the time where Latin was still spoken. It was common for men's names to end in -us. Is Ilana ageless too? o.0

OK, Got it. Sounds like more evidence of Richard being Egyptian.

huh? What does Latin have to do with Ancient Egyptians? and I thought I heard Ricardo. I'll rewatch eventually to find out, but are you sure it was Ricardus?

how so? i thought it was just the "secret" language of the Others, i agree that it may hint at the first Others origins.

I just watched it online. I wasn't around last night to watch it so it's pretty fresh in my head. I'm about 95% sure, mainly not 100% because you two seem to have heard it differently, so maybe.
Also - this doesn't prove his Egyptian decent, it just proves how long he has been around. Latin has been dead for quite some time...

I'm thinking he was on the black rock, Jacob and ??? Guy were watching the same boat Richard was making in the bottle in last weeks episode, I could be wrong in saying it is the black rock but I'm putting it out there

While not popular, Latin was used by Egypians in the middle ages.

All I said was it was more evidence of Richard being Egyptian, you're the one who brought up "Ancient".
