Why Kate killed her father

Look at the boy, he has downs syndrome and appears to be about 3, the mother wants to see her grandson, but is (and has been)denied this access, her own father was the father. That explains Kate's hatred of him and why she so tried to get her mother to leave him and why she denies her access

He doesn't appear at all to me to have Down's. Yes, his face looked a little like it for a second, but then I realized that he was just scrunching it a little. When his face relaxed, he just looked like an average little boy.

Her mother was denied, but her mother also turned her into the police and screamed for help in the hospital! If your mother did that to you, would you want her to have anything to do with your kid?

Kate's father was NOT the father of the baby.. because 1.) he didn't touch her and we know this because Kate said it. and 2.) it's not her baby! It's Aaron, Claire's baby! I thought the whole build up of the show made that pretty clear...

i dont think he looked as if he had downs - he was doing baby waking face is all! we all look a little scrunched when we are sleeping!

ill admit that at first i though WTH....his face looked strange but then when he woke up and sit up he looked normal...and blond blond hair like claire...it's claires that some of us had said from the beginning...aaron is the "he" kate had to go back to when seeing jack at the airport

IMO it's possible that Kate had other issues with her stepfather and that could be one of them.I'm not sure how she could have had a baby by her s/f in the timeframe we've been given. I do agree about there being other issues with him and that's why she murdered him.All we have to work with is flashbacks to her previous life, though.It might explain why she refused to let her mother see the child, even with her being terminal. I hope that Kate doesn't become like Michael and go off the deep end. If Aaron is the one on the island, and he has special powers, is it the Rosemary's baby/S. King/ children are evil routine? I hope not-that's so hackneyed.I really wouldn't mind if some of the troubled Losties could redeem themselves and find a modicum of happiness.but how likely is that?:

I don't think Kate wanted her mother to see the baby since her mother might become suspicious that it was not hers. Kate also seems extremely protective of Aaron and jack me be the only person she would trust in regards to the baby.

I thought Kate said "Aaron" at the end of last night's episode! Which made me believe that Claire did not make it off the island and Kate decided to be the mother to Claire's baby- Aaron!

Noone should be called dumb. people should want to come here and be able to ask a question or post a theory without being abused for it. Ihave missed many details myself and have come up with many theories that later seemed way off, but I would not want to be called stupid because of it.

Soory Dz, I have to disagree. I did not notice Downs with Aaron, plus baby Aaron did not have downs. I have seen two cases of downs babies, with known trisomy21, who did not show symtoms at birth, but within a day or two they started to appear. I agree with everyone who thought 3 y/o Aaron just looked sleepy and a little mashed from sleeping. Although,It would be interesting if he has downs because that would mean being off the island created it, or being born on the island made him downsless.

Did anyone else think that coffin in the last episode of season three looked a little...small? Did anyone else catch how tense things where between Kate and Jack for what is obviously not Jack's son? I don't know maybe it's just me but I think Sun's baby or Aaron is who was in that coffin and I think it's bc the kids where born on the island and then where taken from it. I don't know if down's could cause death bc i've only known MS and MD in my life so he might be...all I know is that kid looked a little young to be as well spoken as he was...once again maybe it's just me...could be downs.
