Did you hear what Sayid said? He does nothing for a living as he is one of the Oceanic Six. I am sure they got alot of money when they came back.

all of the oceanic 6 received a golden ticket and money...what we don't know is if that is just to keep the airline from being sued or is it that oceanic airlines......now hansoair....did it to keep them quiet??? I think that the later is true esp with hearing Kate say to Jack last night...." i have heard you say that story so many times......i think that u are believing it"...i think that this shows that the 6 are sticking to a story to protect the island.....and their friends that are still there

... NOt sure if it's that he's protecting the island as much as he's keeping up his end of a deal that allowed him to leave the island. 'Member hurley said, " don't worry, i'm not going to tell". To get that ride off the island, some promises must have been made by the O6 folks.

I agree with you...all except for keeping quiet for the $$ part. 1st of all Jack doesn't need $$...he is a successfull rich doctor. Also, I cannot see them paying Hurley off to keep quiet....he hate money & wants nothing to do with it. I believe that someone is either threatening them or threatening their friends left behind if they decide to talk.

Yeah I'm sure they were all paid off some how in compensation and also we don't know for CERTAIN if that was even her house. We would assume since he was sleeping in a child's bedroom but maybe the house was that woman's? Anyway it prob wasn't but just saying :)

Maybe they all got something different. Sayid got his money, Jack got his life as a successful doctor back (at least at first), Kate got Aaron, Hurley... well I don't know about Hurley yet.

Good points being made about Hurley in the thread. What's his reward to stay silent? He doesn't care about money, in fact is afraid of it. Not quite sure about the mental institution being his safe haven though. It's true that it is, but it's not his "settlement" because he had to get himself in trouble with the cops first.

I think its the same with Sayid....the 6 of them being quiet is somehow protecting their friends. That is still a mystery but I don't think its money at all....although I'm sure they all received a nice settlement check from Oceanic Airlines.

i believe they received some kind of compensation from oceanic. i dont think that ben is giving them money, if anything he is blackmailing them i reckon.

they have probably sold stories and the likes aswell.

As for Hurley hating money...it wasn't the money he hated it was the bad luck that came from using the numbers to win that money. I'm sure if he got money another way he'd like it as much as anyone else.

Oh...and I think they're not talking because they're protecting people who stayed behind. There were more survivors than 6 but the world only knows about the Oceanic 6. People must've stayed behind and the reason Sayid is working for Ben is to keep those people safe.

makes sense, but taking that theory one step further, does that mean ben is really helping to protect the losties by having sayid work for him? a reluctant sayid seems to think to. however, ben seems to be a team of ONE so i'm not ready to believe ben is helping save the losties unless that happens to further ben's interest too.

Ben doesn't seem to do anything unless it further's his interest. But he must've coerced Sayid into being his hired hench somehow and what I've seen would suggest that he's used the lives of the other survivors as collateral.

the 6 all come back to fortunes, but what do they say $$$$ is the evil to all good. I think Hurley figures this out on the island, but goes back thinking he will be a nobody, and being Hurley, he again is scobby-do'ed from the secrets the Island holds.

The reason he wanted to be admitted to the hospital was because he was seeing Charlie's 'ghost' and it was freaking him out.
