We have lauded TPTB many times for such a great show. This thread however is the thread to complain. To tell TPTB to kiss our ass! TPTB may very well be reading our forums, but they don't care about what we think should happen, if they did then....
Juliet would still be alive and with Sawyer like I wanted!
or....Ben and Locke would save the day TOGETHER like I wanted!

The eye at the top is the Eye of Horus or sometimes also called the Eye of Ra. It is a symbol of protection from evil. I have to look up the falcon wings I can't remember them off hand. The figures all seemed to be reaching up with their palms up which is symbolic of their reverance for the god. If you notice, I think I also saw a god represented in the first row...it looked like Anubis. The row of figures that were growing and harvesting crops shows life. I'll check for what else it means. And at the bottom were boats. I have to look at it better to figure out how they are meant. I love the metaphor for the fabric of time!

Okay, sure....but to me this is a cosmic game so the metaphor of the fabric of time was a better fit for me! lol. It's the light forces against the dark forces....Luke...I am your father!!!! lol.

Jack, Kate will be together....
Locke will fullfill his "destiny" with the Island which therefore will enable Jack to fullfill his "destiny"
Sawyer and Juliette end up together
Claire and Charlie (bring him back) will be together, raising Aaron and Uncle Jack and Aunt Kate will bring together one big happy family...with Hurley being like an "Uncle Buck" hehehehe

It made me think of the Greek myth of Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos the three goddesses that sit and spin, weave and cut the threads of life.
Sort of like he was at least the first two, and using a modern wheel too!
No drop spindle for him, BTW the spinning wheel that he was using was first invented around 1350 CE.

"Across the top of the tapestry is emblazoned a quote from Homer's Odyssey in upper case ancient Greek: ΘΞΟΙ ΤΟΣΑ ΔΟΙΞΝ ΟΣΑ ΦΡΞΣΙ ΣΗΣΙ ΜΞΝΟΙΝΑΖ. The original sentence, modified to lower case, is σοὶ δὲ θεοὶ τόσα δοῖεν ὅσα φρεσὶ σῇσι μενοινᾷς (transcribed as theoi tosa doien hosa phresi sêisi menoinais), belongs to Book 6, line 180 and means, "may the gods grant thee all that thy heart desires".
Another passage is woven into the middle of the tapestry. It can be only partly seen, but the passage in full reads, ΘΞΟΙ ΔΞ ΤΟΙ ΟΛΒΙΑ ΔΟΙΞΝ. The original sentence, modified to lowercase, is θεοὶ δέ τοι ὄλβια δοῖεν (transcribed as theoi de toi olbia doien), which means, "may the gods grant thee happiness". It occurs twice in the Odyssey: Book 8, line 413 and Book 24, line 402."
* The first line is similar to the start of Psalm 20:4, "May He grant you your heart's desire...", and Psalm 20:1 starts out "May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!"

That is very good notso but actually I was referring to the sentence across the top, written with some kind of symbols or other language, I will try to get a screen cap. Also it caught my attention that in the beginning of the scene where we first meet Jacob, he has just begun the (rug?) then, at the end when Ben kills him the (rug?) is finished. Symbolizing maybe a long time or maybe since the weaving has come to an end, maybe he is coming to an end.

speaking of false prophets...
my request for TPTB is to cut the love triangle crap. it feels fake to me and i still feel like they throw it in their for ratings which annoys me. i don't really like romance in this show and if they can't do it right then just skip it and just go hardcore nerd porn with their time travel/ancient egypt/philosophy of man stuff.

One thing that makes our LOST so great, though, Baxie, is that it is multi-faceted! It has something for everyone! (except idiots who don't watch it).
Many people really don't get the science of Lost, so therefore, they still have a good storyline to pique their interest!

i think sirchin just has an automated routine that randomly changes his avatar periodically. :p
i guess you can't please everyone... but even if you're into romance and all, I don't think people are coming to Lost for that. I have been ranting about this forever, but did anyone even notice when they said 'i love you' in the sub they didn't even touch each other. no kiss? no peck on the cheek? no warm embrace? nothing! i just don't think they do romance well so I say they should stop it.

Bax, it seems you are young and no not of true love yet. This is not a crime. True love is spoken without words, without touching. True love is spoken with a glance, a stare, and a loving look.
What you are saying is kind of rude to people like Stephen Hawking, who has spent decades in a wheel chair, unable to speak, touch or kiss his wife. I know you do not mean it in real life...right?

With all due respect to Stephen Hawking, fortunately Juliet and Sawyer are able to utilize all of their limbs...
Uttering words without any physical interaction is how robots express love. If this were a scene with Dr. Spock and uh... I don't some other Star Trek alien then this scene would have made sense. But as it stands I felt it was awkward and unnecessary and it made me cringe. That's just my opinion, sorry...

I would love to see us find out in the very end that Ben knew the whole time that resurrected Locke was actually the "Jacob enemy" and lied to him about not having ever met Jacob. What if Jacob and Ben were in on it together the whole time to manipulate the "Jacob enemy"!!!!! I mean, it stands to reason Ben figured out that Locke wasn't actually Locke (based on his "Dead is dead" speech to Sun) and just didn't say anything.
That would be AWESOME if you ask me. One huge giant con by Ben and Jacob in order to bring down the "Jacob enemy"

I do love Ben dearly, but he does have an ego issue he needs to deal with before he will be able to come out the hero. (actually, so does Jack...)
That ego is what gets in Ben's line of vision. Ben got duped and played by Smokie, unfortunately. But Jacob did, as boutte suggested, "goad" Ben just before Ben stabbed him.
But actually, when you think of it, Natego, Ben did seem to believe things that we'd already figured out wasn't real...like..."because my dead daughter threatened to destroy me..." Wha??? You would think he'd have more things figured out in his own head by then, no?.... maybe you're right then...

Maybe he does and we just think we know better. Maybe these manifestations are actually the spirit or essence of the person being channeled by the smoke monster. We all seem to assume that Anti-Jacob and Smokey are one and the same but that hasn't been established as a fact yet.

Remember that some of these appearances take place off Island and most (but not all) are happening to Hurley. Some may be hallucunations. But does Smokey have the ability to appear anywhere he wants? Just another question we'll have to wait for the answer to.

That's because Hurley can see the other dimension. It's like deja vous. You have this feeling you've been there or done that before, and what it is, some people think, is that you have been but it was in another dimension. Hurley is very special and he can see the other side.

I think that if TPTB were REALLY listening then they would have more shots of Desmond running around the island naked. And Sawyer too.
Ahem, I mean, if the TPTB were REALLY listening then they would have explained why Hugo hasn't lost any weight. And would have told us that Vincent really is Jacob.
