He claims to be an Attorney for Oceanic airlines, and Visits Hurley in the Institution and Says his name is Matthew Abadal.

What do you guys think this means?

I think he is a part of Dharma and hes there to make sure none of the Oceanic 6 tells the secret I guess they have to keep. And he was probably sent for Hurley to try to make him go to there facility so they can watch crazy Hurley and make sure the secrets safe. Whats the secret?? I wish I knew.

I think he is lying about working for Oceanic Airlines and just said that so he could talk to Hurley. I'm not really sure who he is (maybe the Dharma Initiative) but when he asks "are they still alive" I think he might be referring to the people left behind on the Island. Maybe Locke, Rose, Bernard (whoever) chose to stay behind and thats why Jack and Hurley both eventually feel like they have to go back. Who knows!!

I watch with the closed caption on (hard of hearing) and his name was listed as Matthew Abaddon. Being a minister, the reference was immediate for me. Abaddon is linked with the home of the dead in Job an described as the angel of the abyss in Revelations.

I also think he's a Dharma guy.

For sure he is lying about who he is.....definitely trying to get Hurley back to the island, as is Charlie.

Oh wow! Then that would make sense that he would be asking Hurley if "they" are still alive. Hmm I wonder who he's working for or if somehow there's another dimension going on since Charlie was able to come back and the other guy in the Asylum was able to seem him. Weird...

Nice association, with his name and meaning. He could be a Dharma Person, or the opposite of Dharma and actually be trying to help.....STILL I REFUSE TO TRUST ANYONE....
