When DeadLocke takes Richard and Ben to tell LiveLocke that he must die to bring everyone back. If he does not die Man#2 could not take over his body.

no one took over anyones body. evil locke is locke and all will be explained next season when they all flash back to black rock time. john has always been their leader...

If evil Locke is Locke-which i won't argue-anything is possible--then who is the dead body on the beach?

A decoy. A dead John Locke from another time / universe.

here is my theory in a nut shell...

1. evil locke has ben kill jacob

2. dead locke rolls out on beach in front of richard

3. the energy pocket in 1977 causes the island to flash

4. 1977 AND 2007 losties end up in black rock time(or somehow, evil john ends up far in the past)

5. evil john meets jacob for 'first' time

6. realizes that the only way to kill jacob is to find a 'loophole'

7. evil john realizes that when he is born in the real world, he can use the other him as the loophole to get to jacob

8. so he has to die, but evil john has been alive and well the whole time because he flashed back to the beginning of the loop and realized all that must happen for jacob to die, and we will learn that john was the real leader of the island the whole time

sounds weird i know but think of it like this. lost is a story that is being told in a mixed up fashion...middle first, ending second, beginning third

I like it. Now I ask you this?? Where does Christain,Jack, Claire fall into? and who is Richard really-- I bet Richard is Jacob hiding from DeadLocke in disguise

well, i dont have EVERYTHING figured out, but i assume that all these people play important roles because perhaps they were involved from the beginning and were needed to change the ending

How do you explain Jacob saving Locke after the suicide attempt? I guess that's where "evil" Locke comes in? Also, after he was stabbed Jacob was trying to help him. And that reminds me, who really said "Help me" in the cabin?

all these things were coming from the 'evil john' because he already knows everything that is going to happen if he flashes back to black rock time, which i think is going to happen. he knows how everything will unfold, and then manipulates little john back in the real world, to make everything come to past to be able to kill jacob

But then who was that guy with Jacob in the opening scene? That was Black Rock time.

it could be anyone, nothing is known of his importance yet. another red herring...

so, your take is that "evil" as the true leader manipulates Jacob and directs Jacob to save and comfort Locke (which is similar to what Locke did with RA in the RA Locke scenes)??

i don't believe that john is 'evil', that has yet to be determined, but yes, i feel that in the end, the most manipulated one(john) will end up being the master manipulator. why he did all this remains to be seen. remember what john said to jacob, 'you have no idea what i have been through to get here'. i truly believe that it was john speaking to jacob and not the smoke monster or anti-jacob or barney

I could buy that. It will be interesting to see the connection between Locke and the guy in black talking to Jacob when the Black Rock is arriving.
