There is a definite connection between ancient Egypt and the ancient Romans. I have been trying to research both languages. Neither written language matches exactly to what is on the tapestry that I can find. I have found both ancient alphabets. I did read something interesting and wanted to share it.

"The native language of the Romans was Latin, an Italic language. An inflectional and synthetic language, Latin relies little on word order, conveying meaning through a system of affixes attached to word stems. Its alphabet, the Latin alphabet, is based on the Old Italic alphabet, which is in turn derived from the Greek alphabet. Although surviving Latin literature consists almost entirely of Classical Latin, an artificial and highly stylized and polished literary language from the 1st century BC, the actual spoken language of the Roma ... "

So, it is possible that the written line on the tapestry is actually supposed to be ancient Roman....

This sheds some light on things to me. I am beginning to wonder if the two people on the beach, Jacob and the man in the dark shirt are from those ancient times. Perhaps the gods of war from each? Mars, the Roman god of war and Montu, the egyptian god of war.

One thing for sure, the written word on the tapestry is probably not any real ancient language but rather a little poetic license from TPTB, just as the glyphs that we have seen.

You just answered a question I posed to you on another thread, so disregard it now. Thanks notso.
