Sayid and Hurly.... ou?

where were sayid and hurly during the incident?

im assuming Hurly waited back to keep an eye on Sayid, when the rest of the TTC (time travel crew) save jack from the van...

but i also cant help but to wonder (as all things in the show make me do) why would they be behind?

Hurlys not to athletic?
Sayid is dying?

these explain their motivations for staying back. BUT what direction can their story go because they were not at the swan?

time travel to a different place then the other TTC?
....

think of it like a writer. every time people are separated on island, its for a reason. whats that reason...

side question. was jin at the swan battle?

I think they were all close enough to the Swan. Jin and Kate were involved in the gun battle. Remember the great shot Kate made while sitting in the passenger seat of the van? So, I think Hurley was still driving, Miles was in back with Sayid and Kate eventually got out and got more involved in the gun fight. Jin was there in the middle of it all. I think Sayid will still be alive after the flash....how long he stays alive is ones guess.
