I know that I am new here and this has probably already been thought of (and also shot down) but I'll try it anyway.

Sorry for it being long. I also don't know if alternate timelines are not a working theory.

I think that the island is a hub of sorts, like a wheel or nexus where all of the times meet from alternate timelines.

It has maybe only been happened upon a few times in history, there are the ruins and the Black Rock. Our lost group got dropped there and now have gone in wrong directions back to the wrong timelines (they should have gotten off of the island in the exact same direction that the plane crashed) (like Michael was told to stay on the exact coordinates to get home)

Some of our people in the flash forwards are in different timelines and don't realize it, or maybe they do and it is confusing them because things and people are different or alive that shouldn't be there to them.
(Jack's dad, Charlie alive, Kate with Aaron, Said a killer, Jack a bum, Michael? dead) Also there might be many versions of the same crash and survivors on the island or crash and all dead, they also got off and went home in the wrong directions. (Jacks version of the crash being different, 815 at bottom of ocean)

Ben might be one of the only ones that knows and is somehow in cahoots with his other selves to control the island. I think that Hanso also knew.

This may be why there are whispers, visions..

Could mean that the Sawyer that our Sawyer(James Ford)killed may have not been the same one but did bad things the same in his timeline too.



Can't explain smokey, or skeletons, or Richard, or alot of other stuff.

i kind of get the jist of what u are talking about....a little confusing but very good ideas...i know it is hard to put it into words...sometimes i have to write an idea first before i post......sooo complex this show..don't u just love it....i think that they are showing us flashforwards in a random order...so it can confuse us as to when things are happening...jeeezzz..lol

yeah i know what you mean and do like the idea. i think there may be an element of this within the show but am not sure how lol!

I think yoooou are right on with your idea. They are in some kind of a time warp on the island, but a time in the past. That is why Lock could walk when he arrived, because they landed in a time before he was injured. This is about as far as I can think too, because there are many variables, but many of the aspects fit this scenero.

I just love this show and spent waaay too much time reading these posts. Nobody that I know watches the show so I feel at home here!
