I had a thought, not sure if this will pan out....

I think there might be a connection with dying on the island being a way to get off the island. Do you think it's possible that cause Charlie died on the island that he was able to show himself to Hurley on real-safe-land / real-world (not sure what to call land that isn't the island land)

Has any other people that died on the island been able to do this as well?

Is this so completely wrong that it can't be discuss or could it be plausible?

i am sure someone else had a theory similar to this - something to do with you need to resolve issues and once you have you can die and then you are free. thats a bit vague as i cant remember exactly but i think a lot of people are basically agreeing that its important in some way.

Good possibility here. But not sure that its the case. Charlie said he was dead.

that seems to go along somewhat with the purgatory idea ....being stuck in between but once u resolve ur issues...moving on....i use to think it was a possilbility but the writers say no ....i do think that all of the losties are working through their life issues on the island......kate and sawyer with trust issues...sun and jin with their marriage....charlie with his drug issues.....etcetc

hurley is crazey when he gets back. he gets in the nut house when he see charlie back on the new place so i thank that it is just in his head.:)
