Has anyone considered that the Eye in the promo could be Jacob's or Locke's?

The episode "Further Instructions", after the hatch is blown, opens with the eye scene, but it is Locke who wakes up in the Jungle. Could this be another resurrection for Locke, only this one real?

Or maybe Jacob had the ability to reincarnate himself, thus remain eternal in spirit. The eye could be Jacob being resurrected, either as himself or in another body (Locke's?).

I dont really think the eye is jacks but everyone seems to be certain, but we'll see. Would it be possible for jacob to enter lockes real body and we see a mental show down between 2 lockes. That'd be awesome!!!

The eye shown had similar features as noted on the Lost.com site. Not overwhelmingly convinced but it does hold a lot of weight.

I don't understand why the producers spent all this time building up this character of John Locke only to make him a patsy. He was supposed to be the special chosen one, who understood destiny, and the island. In the end he was used as a vessel for The Man in Black. I admit at times last season I thought Locke was the savior. He seemed to know everything to do. I believed that Locke had lived this already, via other times. But I believed it was Locke and not the anti-Jacob. Now seems evident that Locke was "taken over" when he returned to the island. But why spend so much time on him in the first few seasons to give up on him now. I believe that Locke and the character of Locke will play a major role next season. Locke was the true man of destiny. Somehow, I don't believe that his destiny was to be killed by Ben

Yeah man, my point too. I don't understand that thinking but maybe that was always locke because of his future that we saw on the island affected his past made us think he was special but all in all he was always just a pawn. and that was his destiny was to be a pawn. I really HOPE this isnt the case I had so much faith in Locke, i really wanted him to be a saviour and have a epic death scene not when ben killed him, that was pathetic.

I agree also. I reaqlly thought JL was going to be something great. But according to TPTB they spoke about a character who was well loved dying off and was dead and not coming back. I hpe they were talking about someone else not JL. Faraday perhaps. I think he was well liked but for some reason I think it is JL.

I hope it's Juliet. Although, I'm not so sure about her being well loved (just kidding, just kidding - upon viewing the "poor, poor Juliet" thread I realized that a lot of people liked her - not me though). So yeah, I hope it's Juliet :D

erm I suppoes that could be Faraday, after his death I went on youtube and damn there are alot of people in love with Faraday. lol Juliett yeah I was never too sure on her, I liked her then didnt like her. She's just one of those people. But I suppoes she was a good character but of course her main objective was just getting off the island not hurting our losties, but because of Ben we were never sure.

But yeah locke, I know building up his character for what exactly? failed attempt at suicide then strangled by Gizmo? Doesn't really scream WHAT A GREAT GUY. Although someone had posted about JL going back to richards people (jacobs people i suppoes) and telling them he will be their leader so yeah they were right he self appointed himself that role. Maybe he was never ment for great things but what he had done in the the present and during the time flashes maybe altered his past thus making us beleive that? Still though what a load of guff. Sorry, I just really am upset about this locke was my faveourite.

Another thing im not too happy about is season 6 will be 16 episodes long? they should make it 20! esp since we have to wait so long lol
