A question for the admins about spoilers

I usually access this forum indirectly by going through lost.com, and i can't tell you how many times i have logged on and i see the four most recently created threads and one is a spoiler thread and before i know it i've accidentally read the little beginning paragraph they include on the lost.com homepage and just in that little blurb there is already a huge amount of spoiler information...so i was wondering if it would be possible for the admins to keep anything from the spoiler threads (and anything with spoiler in the title) to keep from being posted to lost.com in order to keep people from seeing the information they don't want because it has definitely spoiled several different areas of the show for me, not to mention random movies that are related to LOST or have actors from LOST in them...

also, i was wondering if it would be possible for the admins to move any spoilerish threads to the spoiler forum because several people continue to violate this rule and post things in other sections...i know i've accidentally moused over a spoiler title in a regular forum and that little blurb window pops up and divulges a bunch of information that you didn't want to know... it doesn't matter if it has to do with season 4, if it's spoiler related it should be in the spoiler section no matter what...then the people that like spoilers can go there and read whatever they want...

so if there's anyone else that feels this way, please post some replies, and if i'm the only one thinking this then i guess i'll just have to shut up and deal with it...thanks...

I'm not a fan of spoilers...I try to stay away from them and most people put spoiler in the title but it sucks when you get that one person who doesn't and you're half way through it and you're like damn.

yeah i hate spoilers and try to stay away from the ones that say spoiler in the title. however, people do still add spoilers to other threads so i also make a request for people to respect that not everyone likes spoilers and maybe if you want to discuss them - keep it in the spoiler board?

Well, people got upset even though I titled them "spoilers" so I asked the Admins to remove my posts and/or move them - looks like they removed them.

I learned about the island sickness today..interesting theory. As related to the helecopter and traveling to and from the island.

I love spoilers. Where is the spoiler section? Also is there a sticky for instructing people to do a search for the topics they are going to post about so we don't have 5 Oceanic 6 threads and 3 Who is Eric threads. Just curious.

LOL I love them too. Can't understand why if someone sees "SPOILER" in the title they can't ignore it of they choose but oh well.

There is a spoiler section. If anyone decides to be a regular reader there, I'll start posting my spoiler finds there.

After the last post in any thread is a "jump to" dropdown - choose SPOILERS and that is where it is.

I'll go ahead and start posting there.

I am one of those who stay away from spoilers. However, I don't recall ever coming across a spoiler accidentally. I have always thought everyone was considerate to mention it in the thread title. I think if others like them, then why not, as long as it's mentioned in the title. maybe sticking with the spoiler page may be best, but I never thought of it as a major problem.

There are two separate areas - the water cooler and the island. If you click on LOST.COM Forums you can choose which area you want.

The island has spoilers, theories, announcements and Bad Robot.

Maybe it would work smoother if the two areas weren't separated.

I now see a button for report post. was that always there?

But essentially this whole forum is a compilation of peoples thoughts & theories - now who is to say that some of these won't happen and therefore could be classed as a spoiler???

and yes there are people who source spoilers and post them - who knows if everyone of these are real.....

adds to the anticipation of watching the next episode - who really knows what's going to happen and then again when or how long you have to wait till it does happen if at all - there are just so many twists and turns.

So pick and choose :)
But I suppose if everyone put Spoiler in the subject line - that would help those who don't want to pick and choose

I know I hate hidden spoilers, and it seems like this year, well I almost want to quit comin here, cause it's like there have been really a lot of people who just don't get it that people don't want to know. I don't think Cap'n has time to sit on and monitor everthing, lookin for SPOILERS and abusive, rude and stupid posts to delete, so lets hop some people get the point and put the sspoilers where they go

I hate spoilers! I like to know what I know and think what I think as it happens, knowing what's going to happen ruins it. I guess people are just too ignorant to see there is a spoiler section. You can still be a fan, but put your threads where they belong.

I agree that for the most part spoiler people have been good at warning, but maybe it should be moved to the spoiler board. I'm pretty sure last week I saw a thread that said "spoiler" in the title, but they also had the spoiler in the title. I was kinda mad. I won't say which thread it was.

and i agree with stream - lucky theories are quite diff than spoilers!
