We don't know that Jin is dead for sure

I see everyone assuming that Jin is dead. Someone said that the date of death on his tombstone is the date of the crash, so he cannot be one of the 2 survivors outside of the Oceanic 6 unless they say he died later that same day in their story.
Note that Sun was packing to go somewhere. I am thinking that maybe some of them have to go into hiding under alias names when they get back. Maybe that's why Jack knew who the person in the coffin was even though it isn't a name we know. Maybe everyone goes back, but some get to be "survivors" in the story and some have to live new lives under alias names provided to them by Widmore, Oceanic, Ben or someone else (or all of the above...it is LOST after all).
Maybe Sun and Hurley were going to take the baby and visit Jin, but first they had to do a visit to his "grave" for show.
Thoughts????

Yea, everyone is saying his was a flashback, but I'm not sure. I thought it was a flash forward the whole time, and it seems like we are only seeing flash forwards this season. I didn't see anywhere that the writers said if it was a flashback or a flash forward. Even if it was a flash back, I still don't think Jin is necessarily dead. I'm not sure I think Claire will die either like everyone said. I sure was surprised when Carl and Rousseau got killed last night though. Do you think Ben killed them?Posted 03-22-2008 at 05:53 AM by LOSTLOVER

Jin is still alive
Jin is still alive, but on the island. He is "dead" but didn't officially make it off the island. That is my theory. She has to mourn him like he is dead. On his grave marker, was the date of the plane crash. Some members of Oceanic 6 are still on the island. Why do some stay on, and only 6 get off? that is going to be the big mystery. I thought he was going to the hospital for his own baby's birth, but then when he ran into give the gift, he said "Paik automotive". there is NO way, he would EVER work for Sun's father ever again. Nor would he have to. you can tell that all the Oceanic 6 have money from their homes. Kate had a nice car and home, Hurley was in a very cushey sanitarium, then dressed really nice when he went to see Sun, and sun had a beautiful apartment. Then the comment he was only married 6 months, plus someone else noticed the style of his cell phone before it was run over was a bit older fashioned, not the newer technology. who knows why certain ones get off, and some stay behind.

I can't wait until April 24 either. I wish we were going to get the full 8 other episodes instead of just 5. Darn that writer's strike anyway! Yes, it will be interesting to see why the ones get to leave that do. Maybe it has something to do with who is and isn't on Jacob's lists? I love that after 4 years I still can't figure most of this stuff out. I do like that we are getting some answers, but still lots of things to try to figure out.
I also think Jin will still be alive. In fact, I think all the others outside of the Oceanic 6 will be, or at least a majority of them. I think they will still be on the island. That's my theory. Of course, with the next one looking like it's gonna be a battle between the Others and the Losties versus the Freighter Folks, some could die. I really don't think Jin is one of them though, because Sun was packing a toothbrush and going somewhere with Hurley. I think they are either going back to the island or going to see Jin somewhere. Oh yea, that's my other possible theory is that they all leave, but some get to be themselves (the Oceanic 6) and others have to assume new names like Michael did.
So many theories, so much to discuss and think about! I love when Lost is on!!! I think I'm going to have major withdrawal when this show ends in 2 years.
Oh, I also question whether or not Rousseau is really dead and I thought Alex looked pregnant. I posted this elsewhere, but since many of my posts don't get read or responded to I thought I'd throw this on here too since there are at least 2 people who looked at it. LOL I think Ben had Karl killed because he noticed she looked pregnant and if she is she will have to either leave the island (which we know he doesn't want) or die. I know, maybe a crazy theory but who knows.Posted 03-23-2008 at 04:45 AM by LOSTLOVER

I thought so TOO!!!! The way that she held her stomach, or was it karl that put his hand on her stomach. I watched it again last night, and i think you are totally on to something, we know she does have some time before she has to leave the island!! well, maybe not, who knows! I think you should start a new thread!! Totally think you are on to something. i missed where Sun grabbed a tooth brush. I still have that episode Tivo'd. My system was deleting but that one is saved. I agree, darn that writers strike. I may ask for the complete season for my mother's day gift!! haha!
I really want to know how they are determining who gets to get off and who stays behind. i can see why Rose and Bernard want to stay behind, she will die if she leaves. Locke too, he would be a cripple. Something bad must happen to Claire if she doesn 't leave with Aaron, and why would Kate leave, knowing she is at risk of being put in jail. Whidmore must reach an agreement with these specific 6, and if that is so, I am not convinced that Sayid is a 6. How can he be, and be an assassin? someone else wrote that on the boards, and I agree.
maybe the losties give up Ben for the oceanic 6?Posted 03-23-2008 at 02:13 PM by sayidfan

Glad someone else saw it and not just me. Lost can get us seeing things in everything. LOL Yea, maybe I will start a new thread and see if anyone else thought Alex looked pregnant or noticed the hand on the stomach.
I've also blogged on the Aaron thing some too. I also don't think Claire has to be dead to give Aaron to Kate. Remember, the others wanted him and the psychic warned Claire she had to raise him, so probably he has special powers too. That means Widmore or Hanso or Dharma or anyone else involved may want him too. So maybe Claire gives Aaron to Kate and tells her to claim it's her son with Sawyer so no one tries to kidnap him. Anyway, it's nice to have someone blog back with me!Posted 03-24-2008 at 08:25 AM by LOSTLOVER

Yeah and it seems that in all of the flash forwards the 06 refer to not telling the truth about those left behind. I think they're referring to the fact that they know they're still alive. And after seeing Locke in the casket it def. makes they're knowing even more possible.Posted 06-02-2008 at 02:41 AM by marqueeflyer
