It is more and more appealing to my idea that they are in some kind of "Total Recall" (old movie) type of mind escape to become mentally self-actualized.
This would explain why Desmond was bouncing around in memory.
There is mention of "anti-aging" and prolonging life.
Wouldn't any powerful mogul want to own something that would allow them to be immortal? Somewhat of a paradise on Earth......or wherever they are. We still have the good and evil though.
We hear "Namaste" mentioned a lot
which is middle eastern philosophy. Read something about it.....it has clues as well.
