Ben and Locke brothers with the same mother AND father???

I've seen posts wondering if Ben and Locke are brothers since both of them have mothers named Emily and at both of their births the mother was dying and shouted out what to name the baby. Locke's true father's identity is a mystery and we ASSUME that Ben's dad is his real dad. But maybe Jacob is really both of their fathers. I know this is a way out there theory, but go with me here. Since Richard can appear anywhere in the Losties "real lives" before the island, why can't Jacob. For that matter, we don't know but what Richard isn't actually Jacob. Anyway, maybe both Ben and Locke were meant to rule because they were the true inheritors of the island because they were Jacob's kids. Remember that Locke's mom ws real weird new-age spiritual, so she could be hooked up with Jacob (perhaps Jacob is the islands "father" and Emily is the island's "mother"?)

Momerather, what does the date have to do with Locke and Terry O'Quinn? I'm confused by your entry. Time is irrelevant on the island as we now know. I'm relating Locke and Ben. Terry is the actor playing Locke.

In the " man from tallahassee " eposide Ben tells Locke that he was born on the island, but I thought I saw Ben born in the woods in Oregon during a hiking trip when his mother dies. I also remember Ben and his father coming to the island and meeting Horace. Which story line is correct?
