Wow, time stood still....did you feel it? The spacetime continuum is now once again aligned and functioning well. Perhaps we flew past the event horizon and got pulled into the black hole momentarily. Gee, we might have been spaghettified. What a way to go.

okay so Jacob is a christ-like figure. he sacrifices himself so mankind can have free will, blah blah blah. what's interesting is that also by definition makes him an Osiris-like figure, since osiris's resurrection after being killed by Set is the direct antecedant of christ's resurrection.
