Default Widmore / Whitfield

So, when Richard was purchased by that Englishman, they said his name was Whitfield (if i heard correctly) and that he worked for Hanso.

Could this be a precursor to the Widmore name?? I suspected before this episode that Widmore may have history with the crew of the Black Rock. Anyone agree or am I nuts?

It seems like they've all been to island before, in different bodies, different incarnations.

You know. The odd thing about widmore/whitfield, when smokey was coming to kill all the passengers, i swear whoever was yelling up above sounded just like charles. I really was half expecting them to cut to a scene up above with him. -shrug-

Good thread topic.

I have been wondering the same thing, and to go a little further. I have been wondering when Widmore himself came to the island. Let alone Eloise. I mean they both seemed so young during "Jughead". And that was 1954 so were they born there? and now since he has come to the island I am hoping they will fill us in on his back-story.
