theory on lost

Im new here and this is my first post...im not sure if this has ever been brought up before but..

I think the reason why jack,kate,locke and the rest have ended up on the island is because the island is calling upon a new group to protect it and they are the ones who have been chosen to do so

I beleave that they have to go back because they need to save the people they left behind. think this is what most people beleave.
