Or it's an alternate reality within the one universe....
Your killing me Chester LOL
Seriously though, I just cant believe there are alternate realities within the universe of these characters.
Its not what this story is about. Its not about time tavel or time skipping really. As isaid in another thread, its about the characters, the Island and their destinies.
Why was it soo important for them to go to the Island and return after leaving? An alternate reality of them is not the focus of these characters.
Their stories were told for a reason. To show how they all go to be on 815 and how thye all had issues.
How does bringing in or having an alternate universe al lalong really help their stories along?
If its just to be a way of making the show more sci-fi, what was the point? It does nothing for the story or the characters.
I know the SPOILERS really has the alternate world people thinking its this way and use Emersons interview that TPTB saw some talk about what is goign on and its making them nervous.
Some talk? Every forum out there is discussing alternate worlds and have for some time.
I find it hard to believe that they didnt know people were talking about that stuff until the end of S5 or recently, however Michael Emerson talked about it?
By-the-way, welcome back Chester. Good to see you commenting again. Hope you had a nice time

I don't think LOST is just another drama, where they have just put in a bit of a time-travel compenent to add a 'new dimension' to the story line. If you have time-travel and can't change anything when you do it (i.e, free will is just an illusion), then I don't see the point of having time-travel at all. It would just alienate the dramaheads who don't like anything unpredictable and/or makes them think, as it has.

They included the time-travel because its what got them to the point they were in the past, present and future.
TPTB already said and I believe them that the Losties time travel was not to random time periods but served a purpose.
For me it was showing us what got them to where they had been and what was going on and how they were responsible for the Incident that Dr Chang spoke of and as far as I am concerned, the destruction of the statue and the war with the DI.
It explained the Incident and partly why Jacob brings people to the Island despite MIB disapproval.
I can put a guarantee on the one directly behind Jelena, but the other two are a little small and fuzzy to make a bold statement on them. jelena's still the hottest anyways

Guys, stop it, please! Not that I don't enjoy the attention, it's just that you're making me look slutty. I only uploaded the photo cause calzer brought it up (excuses, excuses, LoL)
Just to clarify things - if I remember correctly, those girls were very young, and the one in the pink bikini is a child - so only three chicks then, not four.
Oh, and Pung, thanks for that comment. Very sweet of you to say so.
ohhh cheers Krakup lol hahah I thought you meant it in some dodgy way and I was like !?!?! lol sorry for the confusion lol.
Yay! It's good to see there's more then two people with a little bit of interest in this... I wonder what everyone else thinks! :P
IMO, I think its a given that at this point when Locke 2.7 tells Richard to take the bullet out of Locke prime leg, when Richard see him appear out of the jungle, Richard knows that the next time that locke sees richard is in the 50'S AND THERE FORE already knows he will not reconize him.
Like Faraday said "what ever happened, happened" when he is telling Sawyer and Juliette about his journal, he let's slip that he knows everything he needs to know about the Dharma Inititive
