Cow's have been on the island. Remember when they stumbled upon one right before finding Mikaels building. Then Sayid got shot and Mikael pretended to be one of the last Dharma people left? There were some cows outside that place too

Im sure the cows have nothing to do with anything. When the pilot climbed the hill and there was the cow, it was like a joke.

I'm sure the cow was thrown in there as a red herring so that us Lost-aholics would make yet another theory and they would laugh at us haha. Yah I think it just goes to show ya how strange that island is and it was hilarious when they were questioning Frank about the helicopter and he was just like "...uh I saw a cow" LOL. Gotta love this show
