My husband and I just decided today that we'd be attending Dragon*Con this year. It's our first convention
ever, not to mention our first trip to Dragon*Con. Due to the late decision on our part, the only hotel where we could find a room was the Airport Hilton.
We will be driving, so will have our car available, but I know literally nothing about where the Airport Hilton is in relation to D*Con itself, or if it would be more advisable to take the hotel's shuttle to the Con or our own vehicle. What would you suggest? (We are fairly sure we'll be able to leave our kids at home with a relative, so being able to participate in any adult/after-convention activities is something we're really looking forward to.)
Also, any tips, insight, advice, etc. for a con newbie would be most welcome.
