I've watched a whole LOAD of films of late of varying degrees of decency. Lemme see if I can remember....

The Darkest Hour - Predator meets 28 days later meets CGI and some bad acting.

7 Days - You will find this in the horror section kinda marketed as torture porn but its a psychological thriller more than anything else and very much worth a watch. I enjoyed it and it has you questioning yourself. Won't say too much as its a simple little movie ultimately and to discuss it kind of gives the movie away. The basic synopsis is parental revenge. You get the idea.

Chronicle - Good kids movie and some interesting takes on shaky cam but resorts to hollywood for the end which let it down a little.

Enter Nowhere - Lost fans might like this lol! Its predictable but trying to be different. The ending however is HORRIBLE!

Happy Feet 2 - I was very confused. what the heck?!

We Bought A Zoo - Yawntastic - starts of well but drags on too long. Could easily be 20 minutes shorter. Animal fans will like it though.

Journey 2 - Not half as bad as I imagined. Usual CGI kids fare but it knows what it is and pokes a little fun at itself too. Very fast paced which works well in kids films

Pirates In An Adventure With Scientists - we all really wanted to see this but we were all very BORED throughout it and its not half as fun as the trailer makes out. Serious Disappointment.

Mr Poppers Penguins - GREAT kids film. Random and odd. Totally cheesy but kinda gets away with it and Jim doesnt go too OTT!

Will try and remember more but now I have to go get dressed and take my children to school

Absentia - A few moments where I thought uh-oh but generally an interesting little movie. Quite different.

Harry Potter and the deathly hallows Part 2 - ok....I slept during it I WAS TIRED!!!

I liked part 1 of Deathly Hallows better, and might even call it my favorite of the movies, if only because Half Blood Prince had so much important stuff left out. Didn't like part 2 as much as most of it was just action, and 3D movies hurt my eyes in general.

Ides Of March - great little character piece. Just a little story about an incident in one guys career. Well told, well acted and easy to watch.

Remember your first time with Die Hard?.. Hard Boiled?.. This is how its done. A Clean, hard constant hit of adrenalin.

Its a stylistic wake up call for Hollywood's default, rapid cuts and numbing shaky cams. Here the action is shot long, wide, often from an insane angle in one take.... its not remotely suggestive... just breathlessly visceral.

If its not the best action movie of the year I will happily eat a fridge.

Saw the Avengers with my sisters. Eh. I don't much like superheroes anyway, but even then I thought the Dark Knight was a much better film in general and I don't understand why this is being given so much praise. It pretty much boils down to all the flashy shallow stuff you'd come to expect from overrated movies.

As for other stuff, well, all my shows seem to be ending. House is gonna have its series finale soon, and Grimm, Once upon a time, Person of interest, and the Mentalist are all having their season finales next week. Speaking of, the most recent episodes of those last two shows were particularly good.

Eve keeps scolding me for it too. She is never going to forgive me!

I need to see s4 of the mentalist. I'm not in a hurry to catch up on it but will probably get it all on a one and have a marathon. Same as with latest seasons of supernatural and dexter although i have seen the first halves of both of those but it gets confusing trying to remember whats on when. i cant handle that!

Hmm....what other movies have I seen of late? Puss in Boots - seriously crap! Boring. Just cashing in on all the shrek spin off. The sequels were bad enough let alone any other crap!

The Devil Inside - paranormal activity with priests. avoid!

Coriolanus - Even if you dont like Shakespeare, give it a watch as it fits into a modern situation quite nicely and that should warn us all lol! Not only that is has Vanessa Redgrave and Brian Cox in it - legends

21 Jump Street - funniest film of the year? Really? Because, I musta had a different copy. Confirmed the fact Jonah Hill is an absolute pile of wank! Please just go away obnoxious little man!
