In season 6 episode 3, there was a flashback where Jacob was chillin with his girl in the foot of the statue when black shirt man walked in naked eating left over pizza. Jacob's girl was disgusted and she left then Jacob was like... "Dude, what are you doing in my pad? I told you not to crash in my giant statue of tawaret house without calling first!"

yep.

Damn I missed that scene. I guess I'll have to go back to the future and watch it again.

Yeh, its been totally confirmed now.

Not only by the ABC writup link there but it was also confirmed by a puzzle in "wired" magazine in May 09 where JJ edited the puzzle before hand.

Even WIKI changed their Tawaret culture definition. It use to say there that "eventhough ABC said its Taweret we know for a fact its Sobek"...but it doesn't say that anymore.

And since Tawaret was actually a "goddess"....well who knows what that means for the future.

1. Is there going to be a goddess?

2. or does the statue represent a "wife"/"Girlfriend"? Tawaret concubine was Set but apparently Tawaret really had the hots for Horus. Horus and Set were enemies and fought continuously.

3 or is this why the statue is modified? It looks like Tawaret with a "male" human body which is not suppose to be how it looks.

4 or is this a dead-end?....

Not sure. I don't think there is anymore to go on than that write-up.

done...
The statue was confirmed by ABC to depict Taweret, and has since been confirmed again by the solution to a puzzle in the May 2009 issue of Wired magazine, which was edited by Lost co-creator J.J. Abrams.

yeah maybe it is different for a reason cause I get bored and have looked at all of these tawaret statues and not a single one looks like the statue at least not to my untrained eyes anyway, if it's not on purpose I hope someone got in trouble or something I don't know how a cgi guy gets a hippo head and a gator head mixed up, let alone a fat lady body and a skinny guy body. Maybe it's just me but it irritates me kinda.
