So we now know that Jacob brings people to the island. Why did he bring Henry Gale's balloon there? I'm presuming at this point that he didn't crash there by accident. I'm also presuming that it wasn't just so that Ben could pretend to be him? does anyone think he might be returning in season 6?
interesting point! i think i need reminded as to whether henry gale was killed or just died of natural causes? i know he was buried...i might need to lostpedia for a refresher!
It'd be neat to find out that Henry Gail would be in S6, but I think that S6 will only tie up loose ends that are extremely close to the main plot line as it is now.

Based on the association his ballon had with Widmore indusries I dont think it was JAcob who brought him to the Island. Just as it wouldnt make sense that Widmore's freighter was brought to the Island by Jacob neither was HG. Unfortunately his story is over if TPTB were cannon about it.
i know he was buried, but not sure if they determined he was murdered or not. knowing the others history, i would lean towards foul play until disproven. but i dont recall it being said. i know he had time to write a note on the back of a bill. was he dying at that point? dont recall.
well apparently he died of a broken neck so as he had time to write the note i'm gonna go with murdered..unless he has an accident of some kinda after the wrote it. in fact here is what lostpedia says about him:
'Henry Gale arrived on the Island in a balloon. At some point he died of a broken neck, and Ben took on his identity. Henry was buried in a grave near the balloon, although Ben claimed (in the guise of Henry) that his wife was buried there. Sayid dug up Henry's corpse, uncovering Ben's ruse. In Henry's wallet was a Minnesota driver's license and a $20 bill with a note to his wife written on it. The balloon was sponsored and/or manufactured by Widmore Corporation and Minnesota Metallurgy, of which Henry was the Founder & CEO. It was also sponsored by Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack and Nozz-A-La Cola.'

its almost safe to say he wasnt killed by Smokie but the note could very well have been written by the Others since they are able to get everyones life history. I guess we will never know since that story is complete as far as TPTB are concerned

Nozz-A-La-Cola? I think that was on the soda machine in the apartment complex that Miles and his mother went to. He had gone out to get a drink and heard the dead guy. I love how they tie things together!
the note to his wife seemed to personal to be forged by the others tho. could be, as you say tho, it will be an island mystery since that story is done.
notso, that is truly one of my favorite things of the show, all the "connections". the way that people, places and items always seem to tie together. it takes the six degrees of seperation theory to the limit, and i love it.
