I think, when it's all said and done... Lost fans are going to want to watch this.

And when we do, we're going to be smacking ourselves upside the head, realizing that many answers were right in front of our faces.

I never bothered to watch this remake... and it appears it was a smart move, based on all the reviews I read. A really troubled attempt at redefining Patrick McGoohan's clever masterwork. I'm afraid it'll just disappoint me so much, I'll wish I'd never watched it. Even despite Ian McClellan being in it.

I only saw the older version, as a kid, though.

I don't think the remake is as bad as crictics make out. I've only seen two episodes so far but the trick about these remakes is to try not to compare them with the originals (the mistake that was made with Lost In Space, Avengers, Bewitched etc etc) but see if they can stand out on their own. IMO, so far it does. Had there not been an original to compare it with, the critics may have quite warmed to it.
