Default Ben Made Me Cry

OK ladies was it me or was Bens speech to Ilana very emotional. When he said he was going with Flocke cause nobody else would have him. OH! It felt like that dagger Sayid was carrying around went right into my heart. Brought tears to my eyes. Ben looks like a different man, all he ever wanted was to feel love and acceptance. Loved the way the sideways showed him making the right decision for Alex. I wonder if the sideways is influenced by the way they feel or what they do on the island?

Gotta agree,I almost broke down too,it was nice to see Ben become remorseful and abandon his lust for power.
It was also great to see Alex and Roger getting on with Ben in the sideways.

well, i cry at almost every episode. so, thats not saying much.

but i have to say - i thought that was weak. I thought it was a weak ode to ben linus period. the redemption with alex was contrived, the speech was not up to Emerson par, the episode was a bit weak in general. especially for a ben centric. i even rewound right on the spot and listen to it twice. and no, ben was not there. neither was emerson.

wow, tough crowd, eh?

i thought Emerson was pretty good this ep. his line readings as the Man Who Would Be Principal were masterful.

yes, i know. i just have to go with my first reactions and my gut feeling.
he was much better in sideways, but the story line was weak, at least on first impression.

the on island story was stronger but the acting was weaker.

But he had those classic, jabby kinds of lines on the island...while digging his grave. Classic Benjamin Linus to the end!!!

That spark of old Ben in sideways Ben was pretty intense.

oh, well. i had no doubt. i lost my doubts about ben long ago. so long i have forget how "hated" he is. i love him.

i think my expectation were really high for the ode to Benjamin Linus. its was his curtain call. I am not sure what would have felt spectacular for me. but, this was only ok. *shrug* i wish i felt different.

there were great moments in this episode. a few. but most were not ben's.

the most intense moments for me, were locke and ben in sideways. the dialogue was genius.

and when hurley, jack and RA came to the beach and saw sun. i LOVE the reuniting moments.

(let me just say the promo made me throw up in my mouth).

But, his character has now gone full circle and his story arc is complete. Now, they can kill him off in some spectacular way trying to save the island or something. Maybe a battle with his mortal enemy CW?
