This is my first post on here, and the things i'm going to mention have probably been covered, but here goes anyway..
Is anybody else feeling a bit kinda let down by the whole John Locke dying and being 'assumed' by the MiB? Is he special (like Ben and Richard thought him to be), or is he just an old loser (like most of the other 815 survivors seem to think)? Will he somehow reclaim his body from the MiB and become the proverbial daddy-o of the island? In this viewer's opinion, it would be unacceptable for John Locke's story to be finished.
Also, Richard visited him when he was a newborn baby, and again as a small boy - which he never did with any of the other candidates. So Locke has to be special, and has to come back into the story as himself (excluding the flash sideways business). Any thoughts on that?
Next up, and this is just a query really - what was the Swan Station really for? Do we know? I get that they were building it on one of those pockets of magnetism, but why? If the button-pushing came about because of the incident, then it can't have been built for that purpose, because the incident happened whilst they were building the station...
Perhaps I've missed something?

Remember though that time traveling Locke sent Richard to see himself as a child under the possible false impression that he was indeed special so we can't be sure yet. I think that all of us hope that Locke is in fact special and will come back out of MIB in the end to make a play at the end game. No one knows for sure yet.

It was built to study the abnormality and because of the depth of drilling the incident occured and it had to be retooled to serve the other purpose of the button pushing / release of energy. Note that the concreted wall in the swan was put up after the construction according to the study that Jack and Locke did after Desmond ran from the Swan.

Locke was indeed very special, just not in the way he himself thought he was. Unfortuantely for the real Locke, he was just used as a pawn yet again in his "pathetic little life." While it sucks for all of us who loved Locke to see him go out that way, it fits in very well with his life in general. Sad, but true.
But he did become a leader, even if it was for manipulative purposes. So, yes, he was special.
nobody thinks we will see a john locke resurrection on the island?
We already saw it...Locke was resurrected as Smokie. Evil Incarnate. Of couse, I guess it depends on your definition of "resurrected"...

I think that Locke IS special. He will not return because he is dead and buried. "Dead is Dead" However, by the end of the story I think we will come to find that John Locke indirectly touched many lives for the better. (ex. gave Jack faith, inspired Ben)

I like this sentiment for sure

The loophole was the ability to have Jacob killed.... imho anyway
