Default John Locke........

I was watching some of my favourite scenes in previous season. I'm a bit LOST John Locke was never important, was he? He was just a sad lonely man, right?

Default Seems that he was

Yes,he was a disgruntled old man, dealing with trials and tribulations like a normal human, but he was not normal never was and never will be.I would like some confirmation about his crazy mom and the older dad, don't believe it was ol'Anthony Cooper.Locke has always had the dark in him.

Yes Smokey pretty much confirmed this in the S1 premiere. He talked about locke being a "pathetic" person. Also seems to confirm the fact that Locke was Locke prior to being killed by Ben and brought back to the Island.

Smokey/Flocke talked about locke as a separate person and that Smokey wasnt Locke his whole life

Don't forget tho, that even as a child Lock was drawing pictures of the smoke monster. What could that mean?

I think this made John impressionable to temptation and so he was tricked into turning the wheel and ending up in the desert and Whidmore was there to 'assist' him.

Ive always assumed John Locke was important, ever since he asked walt "wanna know a secret?" That very early conversation along with the holding up of the two backgammon pieces...

Locke was a candidate, so he was at least a little special. MiB got to him first.

He must have been special cos RA said there was much excitement among the others when they heard that a cripple could walk again.
Also Ben told him he was the next leader of the others.

We was never told Mib's name, we never needed to be told, we always knew it was John Locke!

His dark side comes from hidden memories of his real self either that or his body is used as a host from birth!

Ah the walkabout episode. I still get goosebumps when watching that scene. That was the scene when I knew, Lost was the greatest show on television.

I'm actually starting to really like Cee's idea that MIB/Smokey is in fact, John Locke. I don't know how but it was always him.

We've seen that John Locke doesn't have a problem with talking about himself in the third person. He did it in Season 5, before he died. Now we see MIB having certain characteristics of John Locke. His scene where he tells the blond boy that he can't tell him what he can't do. That and as a child he was drawing a picture of the smoke monster.

All very interesting. I can see it now, in the final scenes of the season it is revealed to the Locke music.
