Why Smhristian tried to kill Jack.

Smokey has claimed responsibility for leading Jack through the jungle as Christian in season 1. So here's what I'm thinking:
Smokey took Locke's appearance because it allowed him to earn Ben's trust and coerce Ben into killing Jacob. Well, when he took Christian's appearance, he knew he wouldn't be able to accomplish such a feat because Jack would of course know something was whacky. So I think he wanted to take form of one of the 815ers and use it to gain influence with the rest of them. And who better than their new apparent leader, Jack? Smokey's not allowed to kill the candidates directly (I don't think we have any proof of that, but it seems implied), but he thinks "maybe I can use the Christian form to cause Jack to have an 'accident' and fall off a cliff. Then people on a forum can refer to me as "Smack." Ah! There's that crazy bald guy, pulling him back up to safety. Hmm, well, I still have plan B, which is to show Jack the empty coffin and really freak him out - maybe he's enough of a sucker that he'll start believing that the island is special and that he's here for a reason."

Sound plausible?

yes sure , why not. seems to make sense to me. we still dont know where the corpse of christian is but we know where JL's is

so many have mentioned that christian has appeared with two different "looks". I think its mostly just his clothing but one time he wears a suit and another time more casual clothes? If i'm wrong then correct me on that I can't recall the exact looks but anyways.

Could this be because there were two bodies of Christian on the island somewhere? one from the 815 crash with the Normal timeline and one from 815 in Flash Sideways that didn't crash but they somehow lost the body?

Ok maybe I can get an answer here??When Sun is talking to Christian in the old Dharma camp he shows her the picture of Jin and all the rest. As he is talking you can see the black smoke sneak in behind him through the door. So at that time Christian is not the black smoke. Maybe Christian is more like Sayid and rose again??? We see Christian on many occasions even home when Jack was known as Oceanic 6. So was smokey Christian the whole time, I dont think so.

Or maybe he was there before just like Jack. These loops could have been going on for generations. The numbers by the names could be how many times or how many generations have been on the island. When Christian is first missing and Jacks Mom asks him to go bring him home. That struck me like Eloise when she knew she was sending Daniel back to the island and what was going to happen. Could Jacks mom ment home for Christian is the island??I think maybe but no one ever agrees with me so I am sure I am wrong.

i admit im confused about christian. the suggestion of smokey is there from the moment frank and sun hear rustling bushes to the scene you speak of. i know people say definitely smokie was there. i wait to be convinced

i think christian off island in season 4 is just jack being high and hallucinating b/c he's on a lot of drugs and is having weird island/daddy issues.

However, the idea that the other dressed christian is from the fs is an awesome idea i never thought about until you wrote about it. He's been a non existent character all season, wonder if there is larger twist ahead with him?
