Default Can Locke still turn into Smokey?

Something tells me that Locke going in the water has turned his smoke abilities off. Just a guess but it seems there is something significant to that scene.

I didn't understand that at all...we saw Flocke standing in the water with his pants rolled up in season 5. ??

Agree.. something has to be up with that.. they made a pretty big deal about Smokey and water.. I thought when Jack pushed him in, he was going to boil or something...

I would say the water renders Smokey useless. But once he dries he'll probably be back up to his old tricks.

Good point. I forgot about that.

I'm thinking he just can't turn into smoke when wet.

He was wet when he got out and started killing those people and they couldn't harm him (unless they were all missing their shots), so he still seems to be unkillable.

Sawyer could just have been assuming he could kill him or something, apparently he was wrong.

Seems to me that was the point.
To show Sawyer is wrong and also to make the audience know that water will not harm him.

I only remember Flocke saying he can't turn into smoke and fly over water...thats it. Who knows though.

Yeah he would just turn into liquid smoke. I bet he would be good on steak though.
