Default Connections to the Lost Universe

Hey gang,

I've been meaning to post this thread for a while but only got around to it tonight. In my house there's a plaque on the wall depicting the HMS Victory (Portsmouth, England), which was a Royal Navy ship that was involved in some pretty famous battles during it's time.

I don't know much about my Mother's family, but I do know that her father was a Sailor based in Portsmouth and so were many of her family dating back quite a while.

Just thought I'd share this and also ask if anyone else has any cool connections to the Lost Universe?

Here's a picture of the plaque. Sorry for the low quality.

What a neat thread idea, Red, and beautiful plaque.

I also have ancestors that sailed out of Portsmouth but that was all the way back in the 1660's.

Lets see.....I used to think my brother was evil incarnate but he grew out of that once he went away to college. My daughter was conceived on an island (Jamaica) and born back home. HA! I never thought about that before! I am also a firm believer in the fact that everything tastes better when it's dipped in ranch dressing.

That's about all I've got.

I used to have a car that I had to roll down a hill to start. I wouldn't be surprised if there was dried up corpse in the back seat either.

Yeah, I've had to pop the clutch to start a few cars in my life, as well.
(and beer cans were definitely in the back seat.)

Great idea for a thread:

I owned a blue and white 1969 VW bus.
I woke up from being passed out on an island beach once {Marthas Vinyard}.
I had been called Smokey before {oh, but I didn't inhale}.
I have a beautifully detaied model of the USS Constitution in my home that everyone say's looks just like the Black Rock.
I have a hunting/throwing knife collection.
I do believe in fate and destiny.
I'm facinated with lighthouses.
I look in the mirror every morning and wonder who I am.
I love Kate's A$$
That's all I got
