Sorry I had to delay my flogging for a few days. My puter and my heart broke on the same day last Sunday when my Bears were busy sucking wind.....but I'm here now to take my flogging like a (wo)man.

I know. We really stunk up the joint last Sunday. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Life here in Chicago is going to be unbearable (pun intended) anyway with all those damn cheeseheads rubbing our noses in it so I can take whatever is coming my way here in this thread.

My optimistic twist is that I REALLY loved the ride this season, although I obviously would have scripted a different outcome. I love the game of football and I love my Bears, for better or worse. As the magnet on our mini fridge so eloquently puts it, "My two favorite teams are the Bears and whoever is playing the Packers." GO STEELERS!!

Hey you made it further than my Patriots did. I'm curious, what is everyone up there saying about Jay Cutler? I know some people made a big deal of him sitting out.

Everyone is Dallas is talking about the SB even though it's actually 30 miles away in Arlington. It's funny, the Mayor of Arlington is mad because everyone in the media keeps talking about the super bowl in Dallas when Arlington paid half the cost for the stadium which came out to like 600 million.

Wasn't the old stadium in Arlington too? I don't think the Lions actually play in Detriot either ... I forget which suburb. Is he really upset about name recognition. I would figure the mayor of a city would have other things happening that are far more upsetting.

The Lions used to play at the Pontiac Silverdome... but now they play downtown, at Ford Field.

The Pistons, however, still play in the suburbs.

The other stadium was in Irving Texas which is basically Dallas. It's a lot closer. I agree. It's crazy where they put it though. Right next to it is The Ball Park in Arlington (Rangers), Six Flags, and a Water Park. The traffic there is crazy.

The Pro Bowl is here in Honolulu on Sunday, so many of the athletes are staying in Waikiki. I am working a double tomorrow -- hopefully I'll see a few of the more famous players.

Cutler is a disgrace. It was the NFC Championship! One game from the Super Bowl.

They just confirmed the other day (we kind of knew it) that Drew Brees tore his MCL in the third game of the season. He never missed a play and took every snap for the rest of the season. Cutler couldn't even finish the championship game!! If he ever makes it to a Super Bowl I think I'll throw up.
