Ben seems to only have people that are usefull to his cause be recruted to the island. Did Karl come with his mom and dad, or was he brought for another pupose?
this is one of the mysteries i would like to know the answer too. either he was brought to the island for one reason or another or he is like richard alpert and has been on the island for a very long time and has not aged.
however, he does still act like a teenager so it would suggest that it is not the latter! unless the non aging is more than just physical.

I know its a stretch but Ben does not want those two together at all. It could be because if Alex gets pregnant she will die. But how was Alex born on the island without Daniell dying? First Congrats on your senior membership! I never thought Alex was that pretty, but maybe it wont take her that long to get back on feet after losing her boyfriend and you can have her in no time at all!
I think Rou was pregnate before she was deserted on the island. If you get pregnate off the island you seem to be ok, like Claire. I think Ben would have a stronger connection with Karl if he was his father. Plus I just cant see anyone sleeping with Ben. I never thought that Karl may be a nother Richard. Thats an interesting thought. I wanna think that Ben needed Karl for something. Maybe he was looking for a young teenage boy to test his brainwashing machine on??
Yeah you'd think they'd have given some hint as to where he came from if they were gonna kill him! Maybe they'll explain it some other way later on in the show in some big pregnant women episode
Thanks for the congradulations. It took awhile to get the last few.. when I first started posting, I would make 15 a day, and once you dont read the forum for a few days, you lose your thoughts and where you were.
After I wrote the Ben and Karl thing, I thought it was silly. I just like to think as far outside of the box as I can sometimes. Another crazy one I had was that Rou had twins, Karl and Alex. How gross would that be. Maybe Karl is Tom's son. Who knows?
I always thought she was good looking, but a few episodes into the 4th season, she looked way better than before. Maybe she took care of those eyebrows
Karl can't have any relationship to Ben otherwise I think Ben would have treated him much differently. I'd say Karl came to the island the same way Ben did - he came over with one or both parents.

I agree Islander... I was just being a little off the deep end on some thoughts for a moment. But if Alex was conceived off the Island, how is she Ben's child?

LOL...The image of Rousseau and Ben hooking up is scary at best. But I think we all agree that Ben raised Alex after she was taken from Rousseau.
One of the scariest things I believe Ben ever said was that Juliet "belonged" to him. I suspect Ben feels the same way about Alex and that's what earned Goodwin and Karl similar fates.
