Hell yes! I know there is a huge risk of it running stale if you hold on for too long but I am greedy and I miss everything about it. I think it would be interesting to see what happened in "the next life" with all of them. Would they know each other? Would their personalities be the same or different? There is so much creatively they could play with and I would be poised on the edge of my seat for every last minute of it.

I think a second helping of "the Island" is a fantastic idea... not Lost as such, as that was about, ultimately the characters "being Lost".
When you think about it and the currant run of continuing failed shows its a viable option for producers, it already has a huge fan base and following, a built in audience all ready to go.
As for 'our' characters returning I'm not so hot on that.. they are done, the story has been told, but the mythology is a deep well ready to be tapped and I for one would love to learn more about the Island.
Any new series should expand the history, we already know it's been around for a long time so there are possibility's galore, but ultimately a new series should, by the time its finished, tell us just what the Island is, its true purpose and origin.
A frame work for the story telling which I would be up for, and the extra 'selling point', would be the 'Hugo' years and the 'History years'. Neither meeting ( at the early stage ) but told in tandem.. A mystery in the 'Hugo' years answered in the 'History years' and visa versa..... it would be interesting to see a different period of the 'History years' each season with new characters for the different times... these could also cross cut ideas answering question already set up in previous time periods.
I wouldn't want just anything.. the quality of the scripts would have to match the original and a definitive complete idea set in place for the whole story before shooting began.
My only question is this... why the hell ain't they doing it now?

This would be awesome, but truthfully, if our original characters were not in this new series....would they really be able to sell us on watching it?
They'd have to work on it awfully hard for this Lostie because every character was so close to my heart that I'm not sure I'd be as avid a watcher.
So...unless none of our original actors could make any money doing something else, I doubt they'd return for an extention of LOST. **sniffle sniffle**

id have zero respect if they brought out a series 7.....it would be flogging a dead horse. i have zero respect for the fact they are churning out ANOTHER series of supernatural. I only watch it for Jensens pretty face.
however, they could toy with a spin off....a show about the dharma initiative perhaps? something thats not technically Lost. however, i doubt a lot of actors would sign back on as that would be admitting defeat that they have since been unsuccessful and if it didnt have certain characters played by the right actors, i couldnt take it seriously.

That's why I like the idea of a prequel....Mother's Story or something. Tales from the island's early years. New actors, new characters, new storylines, but kept within the loveable, confusing-as-hell confines of what we loyalists know as epic grandness.
I'd like to see the origin. Even before the Romans found it.
Or... the struggle between Jacob and MiB. Just don't make Jacob such a lame brain. Both of those guys could probably be had. And they're both good actors. Maybe even get Carbonel.
