Widmore did not own the Dharm Initiative, but he does have a hugh connection. The Hanso Foudation owned Dharma, and The Widmore Corp and Hanso Foudation are partners.
Who said that Hanso Foundation and Widmore Corporation were partners? Where did that come from! Not so. The folder was probably stolen from Dharma and it was probably an internal failsafe in case any of their experiments went really wrong. A way to destroy the evidence of what they were doing. Widmore more likely had it stolen from Hanso or Dharma.
The Widmore Corporation is a conglomerate of companies which have been featured on Lost and in the Lost Experience. It is owned by the Widmore family and appears to have ties to the Hanso Foundation and Paik Heavy Industries.

Anyway, I said the companies were Hanso Foundation, Widmore Corporation and Paik Heavy Industries. I want to see how Paik fits into the whole picture. Maybe in the past a Widmore relative and Magnus Hanso worked together or something on the Black Rock.
