Default Locke chose the iknife intentionally

I have watched last nights episode twice and I get the feeling Locke intentionally chose the wrong item last.

It looked like he chose the knife because it was what he wanted even though he knew it wasn't the right choice.

This ties to the scene where he gets angry at the teacher for telling him he is a scientist. Of course with this show I have no idea where that will lead, but that was my take on the scene with Alpert.

That was weird. But I was thinking it was his knife. And was was that little tube of what looked like mustard seed or something?

If Richard has the power to time travel, doesn't age because he can TT, then maybe he also can put suggestions into people's heads and make them obey or do what he wants them to do.

When Locke didn't do what Richard " thought-transfered" to him, he knew that he couldn't control John and he seemed in an extremely nervous hurry to leave.

The teacher is another example of Richard's mind control. Why would the guy be pushing some science camp on a troubled kid? Maybe we should be sending all our troubled kids to science camp......eh?

Perhaps if Locke is really "special" then he has his own glimpses into the future, and understands that h will someday put a knife in Naomi's back.

You remember in season one when locke opened his luggage and there was a box of knifes. There were about 8 of them. I immeaditly thought of that when richard put the knife on the table. Also when Abandon told him about the walkabout.

Maybe he was so mad and took off after Locke picked the knife because he got all the answers right, which meant he would be the future leader of the island after he took over Ben's position. This could have made Richard mad because he wanted to be the one in control of the island.
